I'm pretty sure that you know Shrooom! as one of the Sanctuary Spot. But how did he turn into that creature? You might say Giygas. But I don't think so. Look at Shrooom!, he looks like something that was exposed to radiation for a very long time. There is two ways that he could have turn out that way, radioactive or evolution.

Ah, radioactive, one of nature's goodness. Okay, not really. Perhaps, Master Belch was so busy eating Fly Honeys and didn't noticed all the goo piling up. So he decided, "Hey, why don't I get rid of it?" To accomplish that, he went into a cave where the 'Your Sanctuary Spot' was. Problem was, he was too lazy to hide it underground. So he just dumped it on the ground above a fungus. Soon, the fungus was exposed to the radioactive and began to mutate. Not a pretty picture, I assure you.

Now, there is the other option, evolution. Mankind was evolved from an ape. Why not Shrooom!? Perhaps, it was 196X, when he evolved. What did he evolve from? A Ramblin' Evil Mushroom. Yes, you heard me. A Ramblin' Evil Mushroom. You see� the REM had no intelligent of its own. It was just a mindless drone. But there was one peculiar mushroom that had a higher IQ than the rest. Just higher than the REMs, but lower than a Mr. Saturn. The REM having a big difference from the others, went and evolved into a Shrooom! Soon, the REMs began to respect it for its intelligent and hideous looks. Why? I don't know. It lived for 30 years then it was "tame" by Ness, Paula and Jeff. I don't think Shrooom! was "tame."
