How do I submit fan art?

By any one of three methods:
E-mail: E-mail your fan art here. Just remember to attach the fan art to the e-mail.
Pasting it in the body of the e-mail is not cool anymore.
Upload: To upload your fan art, go here.
Other methods: If you can find me on IRC or something, you can DCC the file to me. Sometimes I'm on AIM, and you can IM Images to me, but as with IRC as well, sometimes DCC doesn't work.
I've found the e-mailing the art to me gets it posted faster, and gives me an easier time. Sometimes I forget to check the online submissions.

What types of files can I send?

At this point, you can send: .jpg, .gif, and .png files. Also, if you can help it, try not to capitalize the name of the
extension, like .JPG or .GIF.
Oh, and never EVER send bitmap(.bmp) files! They're big, ugly, and they take up too much space.

What should I draw?

Well, considering this is an EarthBound website, you should probably draw something related to
EarthBound Zero, EarthBound, EarthBound 64, or Super Smash Bros. I don't think I'd post a
picture of a gorilla wearing a party hat. Unless it was an EarthBound gorilla, of course. Also,
if you don't have any ideas on what to draw, e-mail Jonk. He'll be
glad to give you suggestions and ideas.

Hey, why don't you update more?

I post fan art as soon as I get it. So, most of the time, the problem is that I don't have enough material.
So send me more! Keep me busy.

What is the preferred format for Fan Art?

At this point, several criteria for Fan Art have been informally established which,
if followed, will guarantee you priority updates and a happy Fan Art maintainer. Heed the
following guidelines and your Fan Art will arrive quickly and smoothly:
Make sure your file names contain no spaces, lowercase extensions, and as much lowercase
as possible. Shorter filenames are good too, and make sure you don't name a new piece of art
the same as a previous one. I am not responsible for "posting over" your previous art.
JPEG is the preferred format for art. Also, try to keep the file size under 100K. Using
JPEG will help you do this, and if your art file is still too big, try resizing it to make it
smaller.
E-mailing Fan Art to me will get it posted faster
than will the site submission pages. I check my e-mail several times a day, while I check the
submissions box only once a week.
If you can, make all your art hand-drawn and scanned. Photoshop jobs are OK, but when I
see a bunch of existing EarthBound photos put together, I become skeptical. Hard work and
creativity are rewarded in the Fan Art section, and I certainly want to see all of your hard
work and creativity.
In summary, if I were to receive a 50kb file named "starman.jpg" that was hand-drawn, your
update would be so close you could smell it.

All right, what else should I know?

Well, there's one problem that stands out. People draw something that takes five minutes, send
it to me, then expect me to post it. No. Your fan art must be something that you spent your time
on. I know that not everyone is an artist, but I can tell when you actually try to draw something
and when you just draw something stupid and expect me to post it.

OK, anything else?

When you're titling your fan art, make it something appropriate and as short as possible.
Titling your fan art as "bigstupidmoron.jpg" is going to make me want to throw it away before I even look at it.
Oh yeah, if you have questions, comments, or suggestions, e-mail me:
