The games themselves are unaltered versions of their originals for the most part. Graphical changes had to be made to make them fit the Game Boy Advance's smaller screen size, but no other major changes were made. The music quality in the GBA Mother 2 isn't quite as good as it was in its Super Famicom/Super NES counterpart, but it's still very close and very enjoyable. Mother 1 is a little bit different here and there in comparison to the Famicom version. For more information on that, check out the differences page.
