09/15/03 Topic: The Talah Rama Gang

Talah Rama is the human leader of an group of underground monkeys. He devotes his time to meditation and has the full devotion of his monkey disciples. How did Talah Rama end up leading this sort of a life and why did he choose monkeys to be his followers? Share any theories you have related to Talah Rama and his monkey disciples.

A Restless Soul

The Talah Rama originated from the country of Dalaam. And like most inhabitants of Dalaam the Talah Rama was very mystical, mysterious and very very wise. He spent his days trying to find the way of true happiness through trial of meditation and other relaxation techiniques of channeling the mind body and spirit. Sadly though the Talah Rama sought for something more. It seemed as though whatever it was he had grew to sought for It wasn't In Dalaam anymore. So he set out on a journey. Using his Physic Power of teleportation he traveled. On his journey he met a monkey.

He met a monkey...

A Monkey..

Having lived in a place like Dalaam which is very much sheltered from the outside world (which is why it's so mysterious), it seemed to the Talah Rama that he never come across a monkey before. Obviously like all of us..It intrigued him. The shape the form the texture it's behaviour in various enviroments(especially). He was in complete awe aftering meeting this exotic creature. The monkey as well took an interest in the man with the yellow hat...- I mean Talah Rama.

They then both traveled together and finally came to Dusty Dunes Desert. The Talah Rama gazed over the vast desert He finally found what he had sought for. The Desert seemed to hold something unique. Almost nostalgic to the Talah Rama. It seemed so lifeless and desolate but so vast. Unlike Scraba this land still had an obvious use to it. Creatures still inhabited it and People even made shop over the land. And maybe it was just the fact that It was not to far from a palace such as fourside which gave you the complete irony, so irony that you almost could taste it in your mouth if you bit your tongue really hard.

So the Talah Rama decided to stay In Dusty Dunes Desert. His monkey companion didn't think he'd last really long in the desert. So having monkey see'd monkey do'd the teleportation techinique he traveled to various monkey places and told them of this enlightening friend and they were intrigued by the man in the yellow hat too. So they all traveled back to Dusty Dunes Desert and began to build a suitable environment for themselves.. one that was cool and dry and safely away from the Desert heat. Thus they created a comfortable home for not only the moneky's but also The Talah Rama which found a quiet place the ultimate place to reflect upon one's self. One that was quietly stored away from all the world's trouble's.

Having lived not too far from fourside..the monkey's came and went to awe at the spectacular.. they ate pizza, burgers ,Skip DX sandwiches and Coffee. So it became somewhat of a utopia for all of them. And in celebration of this utopia and love for Talah Rama one monkey wrote a song. And it echo's throughout the caves of where the Talah Rama resides. Unfortunately though the Talah Rama realized this wasn't actually what he had sought for. After meeting his monkey friend he realized it was only but a fraction of it he truly was searching. So in The quiet Corners of the Cave The Talah Rama continues to mediate quietly and not to far (actually right beside him) his faithful companion watches him awe and in much interest as he searches for whether that be true happiness or the way of the banana.

In Synch

First of all, understand that monkeys and humans are remarkably similar to each other, with roughly five percent difference in the genes. Keeping monkeys as one's closest companions and disciples would not be that much different from having humans except for the fact that monkeys are way spunkier than humans and have their own language that is just as sophisticate (if not more so) than English.

As for how the Talah Rama journeyed to his ultimate state of enlightenment, no tale tells. Even Ness and his group, the only humans known to have talked to the Rama, did not learn of his past. Of course, during those days there was more important things to worry about than the Master's past. With Giygas completely corrupting the world, Ness had to achieve partial transcendental enlightenment and the ability to teleport immediately.

A life spent towards meditation usually means that the person was either spiritually attuned to begin with or that their overindulgence towards hedonistic pleasures finally burned itself out. In the case of the Talah Rama, it appears that he was always in sync with the universe. Talah Rama had been observing the actions of the one called Giygas for some time, but watching the subtle machinations of the Embodiment of Evil from afar for a long period of time is physically and spiritually draining. In the tradition of Poo's master, the Talah Rama set out to find the most desolate place in the world to continue his meditation.

In time, others began to seek out the master, namely monkeys. Now, some would ask why they would stay with the Rama. The monkeys had much to be grateful to the Master. By their own account, he taught them language and allowed them to stay in his labyritnth away from the blazing sun. The monkeys soon became his willing helpers, seeking out those who were vital to the Future (such as Ness and co.).

The Talah Rama leads a lifestyle everyone should attempt to emulate.

A POEM! II

You see, to put it simply, they are just the boogers that Talah Rama picked that were living because of his Psi powers. or you could go the hard way.

The Saturns have come,
and now it is time
for people to eat
lemons and lime.

For Saturns have taken,
their magic staple,
peanuts and cheese,
and the TV cable.

Ol' Rama was dim,
as stupid can be.
Until he had found
the MAGIC MONKEY!

Now he was real dim,
Ill give you all that,
the monkey was smart,
and Rama was fat.

They both crossed the desert,
with huge herds of humans,
until they went under,
in tons of albumen.

Rama exclaimed.
but monkey just sat there,
by an egg he was slained.

He sat there eating,
all of the egg,
when a blood clot had
removed use of his leg.

Now he just sat there,
but lucky he was.
he switched brains,
with SANTA CLAUSE!

Santa fell straight,
into the ground,
and Rama had left,
to see what was found

of the monkey's family,
boy was he stupid,
the only monkey left
was the valentine cupid.

now he had imagined,
and matter was formed,
a monkey, JUST LIKE HIM EXCEPT STUPID!

Well i can't think of any more rhymes. faaa. oh well.

Rama? More Like Ramza!

To fully understand the purpose of this, we must also understand one basic logic: Everybody loves monkeys or is in denial over jelly beans in their nostrols. Moving on, Rama--erm... his name looks alot like Final Fantasy Tactics' "Ramza" so it must be him in disguise or something... Also, Ramza would recrute any monster willing (or able) to assist him on his quest including quite useless ones, so why not monkeys? Cloud Strife, Ramza and MONKEYS! The monkeys proved too much for any monster so naturally Ramza won the game and war.

Afterwards, Ramza encountered Zero from MegaMan X (Star Master, remember?) and MegaMan X himself (Buzz-buzz, that is) and he decided to follow after them into the world of Mother. He adorned a turban, brought his monkeys with him and left behind his loyal crew. Including the incredibly awesome-powa-ful Orlandu! *sigh*

Within his newfound cave home, he decided to find enlightenment via choclate pudding with Zero (Still Star Master) and learned true happiness is a warm pizza pie and lots of soda. Basically, he doesn't do many useful things to benefit mankind, but he has been known to obtain rare items from lazy delivery boys and girls. All-in-all, what he really does most of his life now is sit around watching MegaMan and Sonic The Hedgehog re-runs (Occasionally Mario too) and eagerly looks forward to Saturday morning cartoons. Why do you think Ramza was never found again after FFT?

Thank you.

When Bad Buffalo Attack

Talah Rama, a very mysterious man, many of his aspects are shrouded in mystery........until now!

Talah Rama lead a fairly normal life until he was about 12 years old. He was exploring the land with his family, and was passing through the Dusty Dunes Desert. On their way across, they ended up getting lost (The road wasn't added until later) and wandered around for what seemed like and endless amount of time. Suddenly, tragedy struck as he and his family were attacked by a herd of Bad Buffalo. They all fought as best as they could in their state of extreme fatigue and thirst, but alas, they could do nothing. Talah Rama blacked out, expecting to be dead when he awoke. When he finally awoke, he was surprised to not find himself in the afterlife, but in a cave, surrounded by monkeys. He had a splitting headache, but he sat up. As he rose, one of the monkeys made a sound, and they all crowded around him. It was then that it dawned on him that the monkeys had saved his life. Possessing PSI powers, he slowly learned to communicate with the monkeys. He found out that sadly, the rest of his family had been killed in the buffalo attack, and he was the only one they managed to save. After a period of mourning with the monkeys, instead of going back to civilization, he decided to stay with the monkeys since they treated him with such kindness. The cave they were living in was in a very pitiful state, so, with the monkey's help, they all rebuilt the caves, dug deeper, and made what was almost a fortress in the dirt. He helped the monkeys establish a more civil behavior, and soon they were as a community. They lived in relative peace from thereon out. Talah Rama never really missed humans, since the monkeys were just as nice to him as any human had ever been.

It All Comes Together

It's rather simple, you see. Talah Rama used to be a rank directly under the Dali Lama and the Ralah Lama. But then, the Chinese invaded and the Talah Rama rank was removed due to budget cuts. In a rage, the Talah Rama left Tibet and walked all the way to the Middle-Eastern deserts, and Scaraba. It was there that he found his way to the Deep Darkness after finding the secret to teleportation, and put together a new religion- Teleportism. His new followers warped all the way to the border between Threed and Fourside, and set up the first Monkeysary. Eventually, Giygas began to move his forces toward the Talah Rama's Monkeysary. In retaliation, the Rama created a new breed of monkey to create roadblocks and stop Giygas. However, they got lost and evolved into Onett's police force. So, the Talah Rama retreated into the caves, leaving behind two magic seeds to tell the tale of the Talah Rama to the Chosen Four. However, the slot machine brothers stepped on them, causing a temporal rift eventually causing Mr. T to be hit on the head and lose his contact lenses.

Talah Rama the Mystical

Talah Rama is obviously a mystic from a foreign land. Since there is a mystic atmosphere around it, I would say Dalaam is his point of origin. But why did he move? Perhaps he didn't agree with the ideology of Dalaam. The Mu training Poo goes through is rather strenuous, and the regiment may have been too rigid for Talah Rama's tastes. Talah Rama then sets off to find seclusion for his own studies (which, ironically, is not in the complete isolation of Dalaam). The knowledge of teleport must have existed in Dalaam (since Poo uses it), and so we can assume Talah Rama also used it to travel from his home. Whether he traveled to other places first or not, he finally settles in the Dusty Dunes Desert - where he meets a small group of monkeys that later become his companions.

Now, as for the monkeys, we see a very different lifestyle than would normally be expected. Throughout the game Ness comes across monkeys that live in rather inhospitable places, such as: Winters, Deep Darkness, and the Dusty Dunes Desert. It is possible these hardy primates already lived in the shifting sands of the desert by the time Talah Rama arrived. Regardless, they quickly adhere to him as their leader - possibly because he isn't as aggressive as the other humans in the desert, mining not too far from their own cave.

Anyway, seeing that these monkeys were intelligent enough to exist in such a desolate place, Talah Rama lived among them and taught them what he knew. Obviously the monkeys were set up in the crazy underground maze to prevent people from interrupting his meditations and reaching further enlightenment. In payment for such services the monkeys never wanted for bananas, and it would seem the more promising ones even learned special techniques from the old man (such as teleport - which is later passed to Ness).

Charlton Heston Would Be Proud

I believe that Talah Rama was perhaps wandering about the Dusty Dunes Desert, looking for disciples. While unwisely meditating out in the open, it dawned on him that humans were a doomed race. He believed that mankind was doomed to extincion from nuclear war (As a footnote, he had watched the original Planet of the Apes before his journey.) These ideas, fueled by his oncoming heat stroke, guided him to the cave that was occupied by the rare desert monkeys. Beleiving this his chance to save humanity, he became a spiritual mentor to them. This way, the horrible images of humans becomeing slaves to those [dang] dirty apes will not happen. Was he right? Only time shall tell...

FU! :(

Hmm... this has got some explaining to do. It seems about 60 years ago(1934), he was a mischevious 14 year old who lived in Psiland. Psiland is a floating land like Dalaam, but is southeast of Dalaam, about 75 miles. He was exiled from Psiland for disrupting the art of Fu (that's how he can float, Floating is for the f) and sent to the Three-Four Desert (the one that seperates Threed from Fourside). After collapsing, he was nursed back to health by these friendly monkeys. Since Fu can communicate with all living things, he knew a little bit of Fu and could communicate with the monkeys. Then 6 years later, he achieved full levels of Fu. Traveling back to Psiland, he found out it was cleared by Gigueue, Giygas' son (yes EBZ and Eb connection, here). It was now a waste land. Just like Dalaam, it was powered by spirit. It plunged and filled the empty hole of Winters (this was all in 1940). Then living in the desert, he befriended the monkeys and made him his pals. Now you're thinking, how can a 74 year old elder live this could still stay alive? With Fu of course. If you can master all arts (attacks and abilities) of Fu, you will be able to live until you turn 270. So he has 266 years to go.

Pizza Toppings

Talah Rama, Wisest sage if there ever was one.

Originally he was a part time worker at Mach Pizza, and he got around a lot. Delivering those Pizza's not only slimmed him down, they gave him insight as to the many people and their strange likings for Pizza toppings.

Eventually he got fed up with his job, but used his funds to build and underground complex that would be furnished with the finest things. Sadly only the excavation was finished, the workers jipped him overtime.

Being fed up with people for both their weird pizza taste, and their greed, so he needed a more reliable, yet similairly intelligent workforce.

Taking a lesson from Darwin, he enlisted Monkeys, putting up flyers all over the world, mostly VIA the super Secret Mach Pizza delivery routes.

The Monkeys came, bringing with them wonderous foods and gifts that each of them happened to like. They aslo taught Talah Rama how to use psychic skills to talk to them.

With his horizons broadened, and the Monkeys discipling under his wonders knowledge of Pizza toppings Talah Rama settled down and meditated.

Thus, Talah Rama and his Monkey's established themselves.

Disgruntled Monkeys

Talah Rama was a history nut in school. His favorite historical person was Gandhi, whom he tried to emulate in any way. Unfortunately, there were no British people to protest, nor was anyone willing to follow him. So he found a burrow filled with disgruntled monkeys, pretended to be their fabled god, "Doug", and got them to protest the human race in general. The only reason he helps Ness is because he's under the impression that Ness's ultimate goal is the destruction of the human race.

A little far-fetched for a theory, but good nonetheless.

Brainwashing

Alrighty, down to business, how did Talah Ramah get his monkey buddies?

Eet ees seemple. One easy explanation, brain surgery.

Talah Ramah was once an ordinary meditating person. But later he learned PSI Teleport Alpha. He decided to use this in order to rule the world. This is what he did:

1. He caught a bunch of monkeys.

2. He then taught the monkeys Psi teleport Alpha.

3.He repetitively had them teleport into the drugdtore in Fourside.

4. All this drugstore bonking damaged the monkeys minds ;(

5. He kept doing this until all the monkeys thaught Talah Ramah was their leader and/or god.

6.The monkeys wouldn't take over the word because of how they bonked their heads they became peaceful.

7.Talah Ramah adapted a friendly life style and lived in peace with the monkeys.

He chose monkeys because they weren't too smart and not too dumb incase you were wondering. That way the monkeys aren't idiots who can't tell a Ramblin' Evil Mushroom from a Bad Buffalo. Sometimes the monkeys know to much and they are sent too Winters. That is what happened to Mr. & Mrs. Bubblemonkey.

Now i'm going to write more angry letters, bye!

Smart Monkeys

As everybody knows (by everybody I mean a select few) Humans evolved from Monkeys. But many of the monkeys didn't evolve into humans, but still evolved into smarter monkeys. These Monkeys banded together and made 3 known monkey coloneys. One in the desert, one in the jungle, and one in the north. Now, they looked little diferent than monkeys and some were thought to be a different breed. (If you see a very smart prarie dog, its a smart monkey in disguise!) Now very few humans know that these monkys are very smart. Now, when Talarama was a baby, bandits attack his parents on there way to Fourside. Talarama (who's real name is Billy) escaped. Then he fell down a hole. Meanwhile, the monkeys current leader/shaman/smart guy had told a prophesy. "The chosen one will fall from they sky and lead the monkeys to happyNess" then, sadly he died. But then one monkey was at the entrance, he saw something over the monkey hole. He looked up and a baby fell on tope of him. The monkeys thought he was the chosen one, and raised him. Since he was the chosen one, he went to the finest monkey colleges. He became very wise (and started to looke like a monkey) Then the monkeys told him he was the chosen one. He became their new leader. Now the monkeys live in harmony, and all is well. :) This is Jo- er I mean Houyo T. Matrix, signing out.

No Hobos

Alright, I don't think this is true at all, but I'll state it anyway. I think that Talah Rama isn't even his real name. It probably used to be something more common, but anyway, he probably changed it after perhaps changing himself. I think maybe he was seeking enlightenment. He lives a peaceful and non-selfish life, so I'm assuing that he provides shelter for the monkeys because it's nice and would probably make him feel more accomplished, knowing he helped out a group of organisms. He probably chose monkeys because you don't see too many hobos around the streets of Eagleland. And plus, he probably figures the monkeys would not take his hospitality for granted, like a human might.

Well, that's about it. All in all, I think that Talah Rama is just a kind man seeking elightenment. I may be wrong, but oh well.

-Chris

Crazy

Talah Rama is a master of PSI, like how the Star Master is to Mu.

One day while floating around Deep Darkness, he came across the monkeys who lived there. Talah Rama was looking for followers to teach and pass down his PSI to, he already asked humans but they he was crazy and was using strings to float. Most of the monkeys accepted his offer and Talah Rama took them to the desert to avoid distraction of visiters and he taught them the most easeist PSI power, PSI Teleport. One of the monkeys paniked while doing this and disintigrated, but otherwise everthing was okay. Talah Rama is now teaching the monkeys PSI Levitate in the room you see him in, that room is also his meditating room because the rocks in there reflect brain waves back into the mind and highten PSI.

One of the monekeys made up his own PSI called PSI Language.(he's the one who talks like other animals)

NOW YOU KNOW!!!!

-pikness

Plot Hole

I think he was that guy who let you use the tank in Mother 1. I mean who else would get that close to a cluster of monkeys?

Any who after the tank got blown to bits, the guy went out looking for it. However he accidently steped on the mine that i spent half an hour looking for but didnt find. So the mine blew up and sent him to the monkey cave. How did he get so far? Well the mine was powered by a hole in the space/time contiuum called a "Plot hole". When Tali Rama awoke he found himself in the cave and he had the power of the plot!!! Of course the monkeys obeyed his commands because he floated (He actualy floates because he eats at Taco bell. Stinkin' chalupas!!) Then he PSI teleported all the way to Eagleland and went to a nothern desert just like home. And thats how it happened.

-Salookanana

Sunstroke

Talah Rama? The ruler of all monkeys? That should be easy...

Talah Rama lived in Dalam as Poo's spritual advisor or something of that matter. He spent 3 or so years as the advisor, until he had a mental breakdown from being jealous from Poo's rep with the ladies. (Just goes to show ya that bald is sexy)

After quiting that job, he was traveling in the Dusty Dunes Desert, hoping to get to Fourside and be a act at the Topolla Theater, but passed out from sunstroke. When he came around, he saw a hazy brown figure in front of him. Thanks to being crazy from the sunstroke, he could understand the brown figure, who was constantly chatting in some weird language. When his vison came around, it was a monkey. He then found out he could talk to monkeys.

After finding as many monkeys in the desert, which for some reason he found enough monkeys equal to the population of New York (give or take a million), he used a just-realized PSI power to make tunnels in the ground for the monkeys to live, plus some help from the Monatgue brothers working on their mine. After that, the monkeys have been forever faithful to him and worship him as their God.

In short, Talah Rama made a wise choice...when monkeys take over the world (along with the Mr.Saturns), he'll be on their side and won't face the horrible fate of mankind when that event happens.

-X The PSI Master

David Blaine

Talah Rama is a big fan of David Blaine, the first time that he saw David Blaine do his levitation trick, Talah Rama became fascinated by the amazing feat. Talah Rama then began to wonder how David Blaine preforms the illusion and Talah Rama tried preforming the trick in public, while he was still living in Fourside. After failing, and being humiliated in front of so many people, he ran away to the nearby desert and dug his underground cave. Talah Rama then decided he could never have humans as friends, so as an alternative he befriended monkeys. He taught the monkeys that the best way to live is to live off others. Talah Rama then returned to practicing his levitation trick in his cave, and to this day he is still perfecting his illusions and awaiting a chance to show someone.

-Putridmoldyman

Zoo

This one's easy. Talah Rama was once a zookeeper, so he knows what monkeys like to do. But he got tired of tending to the animals all day and went to live in the desert and be all mystical. The monkeys had decided (amongst themselves) to leave with Talah Rama and live with him in his desert cave. They guard the doors and report every so often to Talah Rama so he is never in the dark about what visitors want. This is how he knows about Ness and company's mission. It's the monkeys, man.

-Kai the Destructor

Traffic Jam

Talah Rama is obviously psychic, so one day after his PSI training he got bored and decided to take a trip to Fourside. Talah Rama pulled out his car, and drove out of Twoson. He could just teleport but he decided he needed to use his car for once. After driving through Threed, and out of the tunnel into the desert, he got caught in the middle of the traffic jam. Like many others, he left his car behind, and went exploring around the desert because once again he had nothing better to do. After finding a hole in the ground, he climbed in and saw a bunch of plain, boring monkeys. He knew that monkeys could easily be taught(and was bored once again), he decided to teach the monkeys how to speak and teleport. And Talah Rama liked the monkeys so much(since they were not boring like the rest of the world), he decided to stay.
