Back in August of 2000, EarthBound creator Shigesato Itoi posted
a letter and the transcript of a round-table discussion he had with
Shigeru Miyamoto and Satoru Iwata concerning the cancellation of
Mother 3, which had been in development for nearly six years.
Starmen.Net will be posting translations of this letter and transcript over the coming months, a page at a time, so that EarthBound fans can finally understand why the game was cancelled and other important information concerning the game and its development.
