Mother 3 to be?

There have been many rumors and people stating that Mother 3/ EarthBound 2 will be coming this year and many others stating that it will be at E3 of 2003. I believe that there have been more rumors and sources of information for the possibility of this game in the past 8 months than we have ever encountered since its cancellation in spaceworld 2000. There are many reports on this but the proof of M3 becomes more credible as the information comes in as listed below, especially towards the end.

Miss Rumor and Mr. Truth

Back in July of 2002, there was some information from some Japanese sources. Apparently, there's a little section in Weekly Famitsu called Miss Rumor and Mr. Truth, where "Miss Rumor" gossips about all the gaming rumors flying about, and Mr. Truth says the truth in them. Well, look at this recent translation.
Miss Rumor:
I've heard that one game company is going to revive a great RPG of the past for Advance.
And it's not your usual ordinary game.
The one-and-only unique game that everybody has long waited for.
And this is the part where it gets interesting.
They're first gonna release the revived games, but after that, there're gonna release a completely new sequel for Advance!
Mr. Truth:
Hmm, a one-and-only unique RPG... you mean "******"?
No kidding!? I can still believe the part about reviving for Advance, but it's hard to believe the part about a new sequel on Advance...
Well, but if it's true, I would like to believe the happy news!
How many RPG series have 6 letters that would be an old series, for Nintendo to be made on Nintendo consoles? How many games are one-and-only unique games which everybody's long waited for (especially in Japan)? Finally, how many games CAN fit this, as in how many games have a revived game which can be released before a completely new sequel comes? Seeing that Weekly Famitsu is a Japanese magazine, they would use the Japanese name of the series, which would be MOTHER (and just to clarify, whenever the series title is used, it is always written as MOTHER; not as a japanized version of it, not in katakana or hiragana, just as MOTHER.

EGM

Quatermann from EGM reported that there is going to be an EarthBound game for GBA. He is a repected article writer on EGM and he usually reports stuff that he is only positive about with the information that he has been given.

Report on Nintendo investments

Planetgamecube reported on investments made by Nintendo and The Pokemon Company in Genius Sonority that they are hiring programmers to develop more RPGs for the Gamecube and GBA. Many of these programmers were those that worked on the Mother series and Dragon Quest. This is later shows some evidence with the announcement of a pokemon RPG for the GC.

A magazine in Japan called Quiter (I think) has confirmed that Earthbound 2 (Mother 3) is in development and will be shown at E3.

Speculations

There have been many speculations of Mother 3 at E3 from site to site and there was a rumor report that Nintendo of Europe accidentally released a list of games upcoming at E3 and Mother3 was on that list.

HAL's secret project that they aren稚 revealing at all yet may in fact be Mother3. One reason why I speculate that it is M3 is that this game was pushed back and promised SOOO much again and again that this time for the GC, they dont want to disappoint the fans or tell the fans any false hope unless they are positively sure. I feel that they are keeping this secret to make sure they get it right and then unleash it when they are almost done. Kirby Air Ride by HAL was seen by many as the secret project but in fact isn稚. The project has yet to be unveiled to the public. This is because of continuous mentions of the secret project of HAL痴 yet to be shown. Plus, the time that Nintendo and others say that HAL has put into its secret project, it doesn稚 seem like the effort they speak of is reflected in what we have seen of Kirby痴 Air Ride.

Weird shirt

The most revealing part of information has come within the past few days. Mother Nippon released images of THIS SHIRT on the 4th March with more than a believable posting of the "Mother3" name on a piece of merchandise. To even further this shirt as being a credible piece of merchandise, check out this old screenshot from IGN (using IGN as a credible visual source). This is too coincidental and the actual possibility of someone getting the full image of the shirt design seen on the screenshot and making a shirt with trademark name of Mother3 is very nill, unless it was official. DCMC is the band of Mother3 and the full name Desperado Crush Mambo Combo sounds VERY EarthBoundish.
