I got a little Nostalgic Wednesday for you today! Sephy wrote up on this baby! My discovery of Starmen.net - By Fobbio In the quest to find out why people come to Starmen.Net and why they stay, sometimes there's nothing more useful than an honest history. Fobbio gives us the entire process of his coming to Starmen.Net in a frank and revealing manner. This article shows Starmen.Net as a fansite, news source, and as a social forum. In this time of EarthBound deficit and pending site overhaul, it is important to take a look at the site and see that all these different aspects of the site work together synergistically.  For those of you who haven't noticed, I've been making rennovations in the links section in order to clean things up and make the overall sexy level escalate. It's not nearly done yet, but it is done enough that I can assure everyone the section is fully operational and eagerly accepting new links submissions. Speaking of which, I now announce a new Site Spotlight to you all: As well as Updated Sites: There are new sections I'm working on to add to the links section, including tips on making totally tubular Earthound websites, a list of recommended free webhosts, and spotlights on Japanese websites with introductions and navigation maps to allow non-Japanese speakers to check out some of the content and see some awesome Mother fanart that a lot of people don't realize they're missing. I'm asking for everyone's help in pitching me good free webhosts (or even cheap paid ones) that they know of, as well as ideas for the new sections. Let me know here. |

Trivia has been updated. There were a couple close calls, but no one won. The announcement is as follows: I have officially codified my behaviour for cases when nobody wins trivia. Although you have to scroll by it to reach the questions, I'll reproduce it here: if no one gets them all right, they stay up for another week. Unless a certain threshold of entries (10) is not reached, in which case I replace the questions. |

Three important things to remember when bidding. 1. Read auctions carefully. 2. Only bid what you are willing to pay. 3. Someone can outbid you at the last possible nanosecond even when you think the auction is over and you start to do your Ultra Auction Dance of Joy! | Here we are in the American savanna, observing a wild Sephy in his natural habitat! Now, every January, the wild Sephy migrates from his home back to school, a long and lengthy process that proves his wild animal powers. Now unfortunately, this often disrupts his weekly activities, and one of those activities in danger is Saturday Night Radio. It's still quite possible that his show will be on, but no blamesies if he's not up and running in time to play jams. TheMadCreator continues to hit it hard, with Frieza and ROFISH taking on quite a bit of work as well. shadow has begun work on the CSS/HTMLitizitation of the design, which I've nearly completed (completed completed, not just finish completed...yeah.) Hopefully we'll have Tokage back soon, as well, rounding out the dev team once again. Heck, maybe spaanoft will show up and prove to us that he is, indeed, not dead, because a lot of us are really worried about him :( If you guys have any information on him, too, please email me and let me know. I'd also like to remind the staff to get their butts into the staff forum on the new fud, as many things are happening. Missing these important things would be very detrimental to one's staffhood. |
