I have a hint. It costs $40.

Trivia has been updated again. Have fun with it this week.

And can I have someone other than CPTCrunch give me his or her feedback on the facelift I gave the trivia page last week? I enjoy his opinion, but it sometimes makes me feel minimalised if only one person gives me any opinion on something.

I feel like I've forgotten something. Oh yes, the winners last week. They were: AmzRigh, Andy Smith, CPTCrunch, Crazyswordsman, Cyberquad, Danitra, Daveman Deluxe, duefiglio, EB Espeon, EBisumaru, Falco, Falcon Pain, GG Crono 4, Ian White, Jeff's Radio, Mr. Tenda, Omni Falcon X, PikaChan, PSI Clark, Starman Omega, Venom.

UPDATE to my update.
I forgot something in question 2. All people who submitted before 9:10 PM Pacific time, Sunday March 30, please re-submit.

April Fools!

Since tuesday is April Fools, I decided to make a very special Secret Screenshot this week. Yes, you read right - the original screenshot was only 10 by 10! If you win this week, you get TWO points, so you might as well try it!

And here are the regular congratulatory messages to the people that won last week and a special shout-out to Aremis251, Cromkayer, Derby Kirby, Everdraed and Gauntlet for all having over 10 points. Especially mad props go out to Gaunt who has almost 40.

I'm Stepping Down

Yeah, it's been fun and all, but it's time for me to give up Mailbag. For reasons that aren't personal but just a pain to explain, I just don't have time anymore, nor do I have the motivation to put my rare moments of 'free time' to Mailbag. Don't get me wrong, I still live at this site. Just not as the Mailbag dude. Oh, and I'm not leaving the job forever (depending on reid and Tomato's policy for dealing with groveling ex-staffers) - in six months, I'm going to be on my hands and knees, begging for Mailbag back.

Oh, and don't bother applying for Mailbag. There is only ONE person I've seen that I'd trust to take over this job and do it right. Arad, I offer you the position of Mailbag Staffer, if reid and Tomato are okay with it. And by 'offer', I mean, TAKE THE JOB. And now, a last bit of wisdom.

The best staffers are those who love their jobs. But the second-best staffers are those who know enough to quit when they realize they don't.

...er, it doesn't really apply, 'cuz I still really like Mailbag, but hey, it's a good quote.

This is .... Trivia

Trivia has been updated yet again. I've given it a slight facelift. Mainly by shifting the archives into their own little box. Tell me what you think of the facelift.

The winners were BlueAntoid, Captain Bozo, CPTCrunch, Elwood, epoch, Falco, JeffMan, Mr. Joshua, Ness2, Nesskid, OneTurnKiller, Poonaner, SimonBob, Synth, Venom, and xSteveStLoox. It looks like a pretty even split between returning champions and new champions.

ARTS vs. OTHER ARTS

Infernal Hound by Gonmon

I have been battling get all the stuff I need to get done, and an update post has been on the way side. Well, I bring you the information I completed a few days ago cause I'm lazy :D,...

FANART and COMICS (including Paper's /EB comic) have been updated with a pleasant refreshment of fan-made media. I see some really good new artists in the community that I think will revive and add to the best of the bunch. You should go check out all their drawings.

For the last two weeks and one more week, the RECENT ART THEME is to draw a piece of art based off a FAN FICTION. Please read the full theme on the fanart main page before starting. There is a Rock Candy DX CD in it for the top entry.

As with the galleries, some are getting large and some need to be reduced. If you are an artist within these galleries or just want some art taken out of your section, please go ahead and tell me.

As always, I bring you MUSICA! This week, one of the best in the series and one of most favorite NES games, MEGAMAN 2!

AE - Airman Wind Shear
AE - Flashfire Remix
C. Stewart - Bubbleman Remix
Fro - Nuclear Heat Remix
Mattias Holmgren - Dr. Wily Haunts Flashman

I said I was leaving the forums for a little while, but I never said anything about not updating. And yes, I’m still trying to leave the forums for a little while, but it’s so hard; you all still own me. :( I think some people have caught some of my recent posts and are going: “wtf, I thought he left!”. Poll Time

Listen! The polls are updated with a new fantastic question! Be honest with it too! Here are the results from last week's poll:

Which Topic should MikeTheEBGuru and Carpainter Debate?

The next EarthBound: Should it be 2D or 3D?: 45.48%

Is Starmen.net far off track from the subject of EarthBound? : 23.14%

Which 1/128 Object is harder to get? Sword of Kings or Gutsy Bat?: 12.23%

The Hint Guy's Advice: Useful, or useless?: 10.11%

Is EarthBound TOO easy? : 9.04%

Total Votes: 376

So there you have it. Hopefully Carpy and MikeTheEBGuru will duke it out in a clash of wits and other stuff in a new Debate. Those would make good poll questions too! Like I said earlier, be honest with answering this poll. We (usually) can't come and grab you from the screen and say you're horrible for being a bad EBer. So vote!

Mmm, tasty dinner.

That subject? It's a funny story, actually. I was talking to someone online the other night, and my computer kept freezing. Every time I came back, I said that, since it was the first thing I said when I went online in the first place. Now, isn't your life enriched from having read that? Hah, you're obliged to read my update now! :DThese Fanfics may seem a little early, but it's March Break so I figured I'd get 'em out of the way a little sooner this time.
Hey, check out that Art Week Topic. How come for the last two topics, there were big forum topics full of art, but this time there's diddly squat? Are all the artists at this site illiterate? (Just kidding, I'm sure you're all just planning to surprise me. Right?)

Take me down to the paradise city... I mean, send me Fanfics.

Oh, and happy birthday Pi. (At least, I'm assuming you were born on March 14th, 1592, which would make you 411 years old today. 3/14/1592? See? Haha funny? No? Dang.)

Anyone who has a POP3 account and uses starmen.net's SMTP server should change the settings for the SMTP port number to 777(normally it is 25). This is not necessary to do right away, but it should be done soon, otherwise you might not be able to send mail once I enable some anti-spam measures.

Yeah, like Tomato said, SAINT checks every 10 minutes if Starmen.Net has new updates, and alerts you. I also fixed the saint/saint ZIP thing. For extra credit, name all 11 icons I have on my taskbar. SAINT

Frieza/Zushiba has made a dinky little Windows program that some people may find useful. Every 10 minutes it automatically checks Starmen.Net for new updates, and alerts you if there are. ROFISH hasn't updated yet and Frieza's bugging me so I'm just letting people know about it for now. ROFISH can officially put the program up when he next updates.

Get the program here.

Also, I've been real busy lately but I'm gonna try to get another Forward to the Past article up sometime this weekend, and maybe start having more Mother 3 Cancellation Discussion Translation stuff up starting next weekend.

Yes I still need to choose a new Merchandise guy, I haven't forgotten about it, but I've been really busy lately. Also there may be a job or 2 opening in the near future, get ready for that. And because of my current crappy net connection it's making it hard to set up a thing for people to choose which webcomic they want to be SM.Net's official webcomic. But I'll try to get that done eventually. OK, bye.
