Plan of Attack:
|

|
|
Now, on to our plans. We must send in those Nintendo
Power reply cards by the trainload. If you don't get
Nintendo Power, then you can still write a letter saying
that you want Earthbound 64 (and mention that you'd like
to have your voice counted on the Most Wanted lists). But
in any way possible, we want to get Earthbound 64 high on
that most wanted list, and keep it there to stay :)

If you subscribe to Nintendo Power, your card CAN make a
difference. Fill it out entirely, but make sure to put
EarthBound 64 as your choice for #1 Most Wanted game. For
an example of what to do, check out another one of
"reidman's Fake Players Poll Cards"
. Super many thanks to Plo for getting that scanned.
Please note that reid's card isn't completely filled out.
We suggest that you fill out the entire card so it will
be taken seriously.

So what if you're not a subscriber to Nintendo Power?
Fear not, you can still support the cause. A letter to
Nintendo Power's "Players' Pulse" should do the trick.
The purpose of your letter will be to remind the potential
readers that there's a huge community on the web
anticipating EB64's release! Keep in mind that your letter
will be read by Nintendo Power staff. There is a possibility
that one of the letters sent by you guys will make it into
Nintendo Power, so be sure to mention both EarthBound 64
and EarthBound 0. We wanna get the word out as much as
possible! A well-written letter will have a much more
desirable effect; be sure not to be insulting in the
letter (no "YOU GUYS ARE MORONS! GIMME EB64!",
even though it might be tempting :). I won't tell you guys
what to write, because I want them to see YOUR opinions,
not Starmen.Net's (even though they're probably the same :)
However, when you write the letter, be sure to mention
Starmen.Net so people will know where to go for more
information if they're interested in finding out more.
When you've written your letter, address it to the
following:
Nintendo Power
P.O. Box 97033
Redmond, WA 98073-9733
Don't forget your 33 cent stamp! When you've got it all
addressed, stamped, and ready to go, just stick it in the
mail and wait to see what happens! :)
In addition to snail mailing, you can e-mail
Nintendo's Players' Pulse at
noapulse@nintendo.com.
Send them a short, well-written e-mail explaining the same
situation you did in your letter (Thanks to Dali's_Clock for
getting me all of these addresses!). But please, don't give up
on snail-mail just because e-mail is faster...Snail mail, in my
opinion, is probably more likely to get into the magazine.
Even if it doesn't make it to the magazine, you can be sure
that someone at least read your letter and took it seriously.
As with the snail-mail letters, be sure to include the URL for
Starmen.Net in case the letter gets printed and people want more
information.

Final Thoughts:
|

|
|
So will all of this work? Who knows. However, even if Nintendo
Power doesn't print one of our letters, or if EarthBound 64
doesn't jump up a notch or two in the Most Wanted list, we
can still rest assured that we tried everything we could,
and that we're REAL fans. After all these letters and
petitions we've sent over the years, Nintendo must understand
that EarthBound fans are some of the most committed in the
entire gaming industry. Nintendo can't blame anything on
a lack of support from US.
