A kraken living in my thoughts

Not quite certain
How such a beast
Slithered inside

That in despair's ocean
A kraken lurks waiting

Never fought a kraken
That lived in my mind

Though once I did fight
A kraken in the open seas
It took four, not just me

How could I ever hope
To fell the legend
When I'm all alone?

If my mind's body wears
A pendant scorched in
Sacred, protective flames...

If my mind's mind generates
A shield of psychic energy-
Armor forged from thought...

Maybe somehow
I can tackle the Kraken
Who lives in my dreams

If I overcome my adversary,
Victory in the battle
