As I look upon the door
I can't help but feel
Just a bit of guilt
At having to close it so soon
I can still remember
When I had first opened it
I was a thief
A darned good one, for sure
Not just a thief
But someone that could be looked up to
Not necessarily in a moral way
But...In a sense of a loyalty
If that makes sense
The people of Burglin Park
I think they knew me best
And it's them I'll miss the most
To them, I was their guardian
Their bigger brother
Their father
Lookin' out for the park
To them I say good bye
It was that statue
That eventually led me here
The one I knew Carpainter had
If I could sell that thing
I knew that I could expand
Expand Burglin Park by double it's land
So I figured I just needed
Some pathetic fool
Who needed power
But boy, was I mistaken
Guess I was a fool myself
The snotty Monotolli
A double crosser
Tricking a thief
Truly devious
The statue meant too much to him
He tried to due me in
I secretly had thought he the fool
But I was just as much so
He planned to use the statue for power
And I guess I did too
For in our world, money is power
It was at that moment
In my worst of health
I had shown my worst of character
After I told the kids my tale
And said my good-bye
I knew it was time to come back here
And shut the door tightly
And then lock the door
Lock the door, for I had failed
Lock the door, for I broken my own code
Luck the door, for I could no longer be seen
Lock the door, for I was not to live much longer anyway
So I placed the key into the keyhole
And began to turn
And with that
The door was locked...
